Body Work for Every Body

Body Work for Every Body

I blend everything I've learned into each session, from different modalities of massage, to my knowledge of movement, sound healing, and trauma-sensitive breath and mindfulness. The intentions that guide my practice are Awareness, Connection, and Empowerment.

I believe the best approach to during bodywork meets the whole person not just the. and adapts to each based on the moment by moment  feelings and experiences in their body.

Luxuriously deep and sustained myofascial release with delicate work around abdomen, neck and inside the mouth are cornerstones of my sessions. Intro sessions include free biomechanics assessment and exercise recommendations.

I also specialize in enhancing performance by treating breath, voice and swallowing dysfunction.

FAQ

  • Intra-oral is a massage technique that targets the muscles inside your mouth and jaw to release tension, ease TMJ pain, improve speech and breathing, and support vocal performance. A gentle, gloved hand works inside your mouth and jaw to release tension, ease TMJ pain, improve speech and breathing, and support vocal performance. And maybe heal a little bit of trauma from the dentist while we are at it!

  • Vocal massage addresses tension patterns in the vocal muscles surrounding our larynx and neck, jaw, chest, and diaphragm that can impact vocal quality and stamina. It’s beneficial for singers, teachers, public speakers, and anyone with voice.

  • Massage should never feel like you have to brace through discomfort or hold your breath. While certain  therapeutic techniques may cause mild discomfort or bring up familiar symptoms, it should always be within your comfortable range of discomfort as I like to say! We work together to adjust moment by moment to ensure safety, effectiveness, and enjoyment at all times.

  • Wear comfortable clothing, drink water beforehand, and avoid heavy meals right before your appointment. If we’re working intra-orally, good oral hygiene is appreciated. For mobile sessions, please clear a space large enough for a massage table and easy access around it.

A full blog post on best practices for preparing for a session (in-person and virtual) is coming soon.

  • Simple Care for Best Results

    • Hydrate well — water helps your body flush out metabolic waste released during massage.

    • Move gently — light walking or stretching keeps circulation flowing and reduces soreness.

    • Rest if needed — give your body space to integrate the work, especially after deep or intraoral sessions.

    • Avoid intense workouts for 12–24 hours if we did deeper structural or fascial release.

    • Listen to your body — mild tenderness is normal; sharp or lasting pain isn’t, so reach out if you have concerns.
